The sailing theme continues as Leeds try their hand at taking on the waters as part of a holiday organised by the Ellen McArthur Trust. We get a snoop round the cosy living quarters and see everything from the bedrooms to the left over lasagne from the night before! As we meet up with some of the sailors themselves, its smiles all round when asked how the trip is going so far, but soon discover that the boat has already broken down! As the trip comes to an end, everyone is left feeling on a high as they reminisce about the wonderful experience they have had and already begin thinking about next year’s trip!

You can say pirate again as Jimmie takes us on a voyage of pure fun as part of a sailing holiday with the Southampton crew, complete with water bombs and a tour of the grand ship in question! As Captain Jimmie causes havoc with his trusty pile of bombs, everyone else is getting soaked…much to the amusement of the captain himself. Whilst Pirate Jimmie plans his next route across the seas, everyone else is hitting their beds…as far away from the water bombs as possible!

From painting to pool and board games to bag making, you can always guarantee a good time in the London TCT day room! We get a tour of the room in question as well as a look at some craft making in action and interrupt a budding game of monopoly as patients and staff enjoy themselves with the fantastic facilities available. There’s just time for a sneaky peek of the young person’s cancer unit before its back to work….and time for another game of monopoly for everyone else!
Peter Wilkinson
Sheffield
13th Jun '08
Get ready for the tour of your life as Peter “Pierre” Wilkinson, cancer patient of the year 2007 AND 8 no less, gives us a lively look at the Sheffield TCTU ward and even demonstrates some of its wonderful facilities…although you might want to look away for that bit! Grubs up in the kitchen as “Pierre” gives us a run through of its uses, whilst causing five pounds worth of damage, no thanks to camera man Bob who just can’t keep that lens straight! Peter also reminds us all that its pizza night on a Tuesday and if your lucky you might even get…wait for it…a curry. Prepare to get more than you bargained for when our wannabe presenter gives us a peek of the fancy en-suite bedrooms, where, a call from mum interrupts the “cool” flow. On to the chill out room now, where Pierre finds himself making small talk with an unusual character, who, surprisingly manages to maintain his posture amongst the chaos of keyboard playing and telling Bob off. It’s a case of “over and out” as the tour comes to an end and Mr. Pierre Wilkinson, cancer patient of the year 2007 AND 8, but now an out-patient, returns to his dressing room back at the “studio” with Bob not far behind, fetching him ice cold drinks… and altering camera angles to make him look fancy…maybe in a few years time!

Cambridge
14th May '08
Watch as the Cambridge crew hit the rink…quite literally in some cases! It’s a day of fun as they try their hand at ice skating, luckily with no broken bones by the end of the day… Some of our favourite video stars zoom by the side of the rink for a chat, giving us a running progress of how their skating skills are shaping up. Film stars and an ice rink….sounds like an episode of Dancing on Ice to me!
